Day 28 - Riding thru Black Hills, 180 miles - Sunday, August 3

Here we are on our second day of Sturgis! We had a great night last night with the Jäger girls and listening to the great bands.

We started off the day with a great pancake breakfast at the campground, cooked by the Christian motorcyclists. They were very nice folks, and the breakfast was free !

The Budweiser Clydesdale horses were parked right next to the pancake breakfast.

We decided to take a 180 mile ride through the beautiful country around Sturgis today. Our first stop was at the BMW dealership downtown.

We spent a long time at the crazy horse Memorial. It was awesome!

This is about as closest we could get to Mount Rushmore. You can't pull into the parking lot there anymore, they built a parking garage and gate right by the road. It was getting late so we decided not to go to Mount Rushmore, since they wanted to charge us $11 for each bike to park !

Back at the campground now, it's time to put on our Jägermeister gear and get ready for tonight's concerts !

The shots are at a little stage just outside the main stage, where we watched girls play with fire and heard a really good Japanese rock 'n roll band.

The Jägermeister girls were very happy to see us back again!

The Jägermeister girls have to come up with new and fun ways to give out their merchandise. Here they are showing people how to do the limbo.

Next the Jägermeister girls made a jump rope from a string of bandannas.

Here is Ace taking part in a game of keepaway with the girls. He finally got his free T-shirt, but it took him a while !

The headlining band tonight was Leonard Skynyrd !  They are a great biker band, and after every song all the Harley riders would start up their engines and rev them up !

The first band out tonight was Collective Soul -

While Lynyrd Skynyrd was setting up on stage, it was time for another bikini contest with the Buffalo Chip girls.

Ace and Slo Jon really enjoyed the bikini contest !

And me, too !

And here they are, the legendary Leonard Skynyrd band! They were really in their element and put on a great show. It was really, really wild !
